The Roemeria pants & shorts is a sister pattern to the Coquelicot skirt. They feature a similar adjustable waistband and large 18th-century-inspired pockets. The Roemeria pants are high-waisted pants with a classic 1950s/60s look. They have a slimmer fit without being tight fitting.
 
There are two length options: View A is a classic pants with optional hem facing, View B is shorts with an optional hem cuff. There are two front facing options - one straight and one curved. There are two adjustable inner closure options- the D-ring buckle or an inner elasticated band with buttonholes. The outer closure is adjustable using D-ring tabs so you can easily tighten or loosen the waistband throughout the day. 
 
The pattern makes pants fitting a little easier as it includes fit guidelines and extensive step by step instructions to help you match the pattern to your own personal measurements. By adjusting the flat pattern to your measurements before sewing, you will be able to create a good base pattern that, once adjusted to your measurements and shape considerations, should result in a pattern that fits you proportionally and therefore should only need minor adjustments if necessary for your individual shape. 
 
The Pants Fitting section of the pattern includes:
 
1. A personal measurements page that explains how to measure each area and includes a place where you can record your measurements.
2. How to adjust the length of the pattern between each body landmark (waist, high hip, low hip, crotch level, knee and ankle.
3. How to blend between different sizes.
4. How to adjust the length of the crotch curve.
5. Tips on fitting a test garment (muslin) by transferring the vertical and horizontal balance lines (body landmark lines) to your test garment to help you during the fitting process.
